Little Astronaut – “Love From Above”

Brand new series – “The Little Astronaut”
This illustrative painting measures 18×24 inches – acrylic on stretched canvas.
Location:  Taipei, Taiwan – debuted at Art Revolution Taipei 2018 Int. Art Show, and is on display and available through X-Power Gallery, Taipei Taiwan.
What originally was going to be a little astronaut floating in space, turned into a bungee jump from a big beautiful balloon in the sky.  Yes, the bear will make some appearances in this series.  (someone had to work the balloon!)  10 signed limited 8×10 prints have been made available in my etsy shop here!
Stay tuned for more space adventures.

The original will be featured in Taipei this April (2014) at an international juried art show – Art Revolution Taipei. This piece features 3 traveling balloons only they travel beneath the water. One of them has aired to the surface….oh look at that, a sunset!  If anyone remembers Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks movie, you will recall the underwater song.  As I painted this it came to mind, and then wouldn’t leave my head.  The rhythm and tune itself just lend itself to to this painting, so I titled it after the song “The Beautiful Briny Sea.  I’ll post the video below as I’m sure some of you young’ns have not had the privilege 🙂
