Penny Auction! Original Painting – Juice Box #1

Auction Status:  SOLD

Time for some fun, time for a new series >>  The Juice Box Series.
These pieces are pretty much like their series title….juicy liquid skies painted and or mounted on THICK boxy wooden frames.  This whimsical ship is Juice Box #1.  A splashy teal and yellow sunset sky with a ship set to full sail.  This piece measures 8x8x2 inches and has 4 flat rivet style nails on each of the sides.  Edges are painted black, so no need to frame.  Bidding starts at .o1 cent and runs through September 13, 2016.  See it on eBay!

My Love Runs Deep

Update:  Sold
“My Love Runs Deep”  10×20 original acrylic on stretched canvas painting.
One is fishing above with what I call “true love” bait, and the other is down below on the ocean floor with a protective glass bubble so it can “breathe”.  Both seem to be on a separate journey.  Has true love brought these two together?  Will they ever meet?  An epic love story for sure.
Auction Ends:  Nov. 8th 2014

Revolution

Now at Auction!  Update:  Sold!
This 16×20 original painting on stretched canvas is available this week direct from the artist (me).
Title:  “Revolution” – acrylic.   Two Japanese fighting fish….this is one way to start a revolution.
Water and space are used quite a bit in the Seafarers and Legends series.  Two beautiful fish are on the chase, and their bubble trails create this planetary of a movement piece.

The original will be featured in Taipei this April (2014) at an international juried art show – Art Revolution Taipei. This piece features 3 traveling balloons only they travel beneath the water. One of them has aired to the surface….oh look at that, a sunset!  If anyone remembers Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks movie, you will recall the underwater song.  As I painted this it came to mind, and then wouldn’t leave my head.  The rhythm and tune itself just lend itself to to this painting, so I titled it after the song “The Beautiful Briny Sea.  I’ll post the video below as I’m sure some of you young’ns have not had the privilege 🙂
